Im so sick of people calling this album "depressing" and "a downer". Guys this album is, if nothing else, a credit to the talentthat was Kurt Cobain. For a band, that was up to that point in time only regarded as grunge icons and the lords of stage destruction, to transcend their punk background and create an album that could so beautifully showcase not only Kurt's unbelievable poetic soul but but the true musical talent of these three artists, is to be admired and reveered.

This was Kurt's shining moment in time, and if anyone knows how hard he worked and how much he stressed out over this performance, then they wouldn't dare do anything but give it the acolades he and the band so duly deserve.

I believe the title of "Lords Of Stage Destruction" belongs solely to the Who.

I disagree with the Sonic Youth statement. Come on man, Pete and Keith were in a league of their own with instrument mutilation.

They started it, Sonic Youth finished it.

good review, but from what you said about most of the songs on here it doesn't sound like a 4.it sounds like you meant to rate it lower. i haven't got this but i've heard good things about it, i'll have to check it out

^I'd have to agree with that, from what I've heard. Everytime I listen to Where Did You Sleep Last Night, I get Goosebumps.

I think that this is a good review and a awsome cd. One of Nirvana's best. And sadly the awesomeness of this cd can not cover up the gayness of andy stuckel. He is a fatter scott vohasik and a smellier bubba.
