Yeah my rating really hinges on this closer well I really get around to fully listening to it. I sort skimmed through it and yeah pretty much conrad summed up my thoughts. I mean at 25 of 75 minutes I don't think it's crazy for me to say it could make the album either a 3.5-5. 5 because I think this is just crazy and bombastic enough to warrant it. Need WAY more listens though.

Great Review..I have no idea how you made your mind up about this album so quickly though. I've been listening to this for three days now, and it's either the greatest thing I've ever heard, or positively the worst. I really have never encountered that with any other album before.
Got to give it to Suffy though..this is definitely a game changer.

I've never listened to Sufjan before, but this is great. Such a massive album. 4 right now, could go to 4.5 with more listens.
I really don't like autotune, esp. when people who can actually sing (like Bon Iver) use it. It would've been better if he had not used it on Impossible Soul, but it's not a dealbreaker for me.
