do you really compare hawkwind or this album with Earthless? there is at least 40 years of time gap between them.

This album is a massive slab of blanga that taken as a group statement is unsurpassed. Everybody is on for this show -a live album tarted up in the studio a bit. The songs are a mix of new and tracks from the last 2 albums and singles. Many highlights for me, includig the groove of Orgone Accumulator, the delivery of Sonic Attack (Calvert was great -Lemmy was sinister sounding), Space is Deep and the cool Born To Go....but really the whole album works. From Stacia on the cover through the bonus tracks from contemporary live shows. Widely viewed as their greatest album and also their most popular. Anarchy and tribal space antics abound on this one. Calvert and Moorecock really put the Sci fi stamp on this band for good. Conventional rockers would come and go, but space rock would be Hawkwind's bread and butter from now on.

found this on vinyl today, the dude threw it in because it was slightly roached but plays great. just got done listening, this goes some, sooooo much better than the other version I heard on disc, you just do not get the layers and texture on any other medium that V gives you, really hear it in bands like this
