Well this album is bad pop music but yeah, just hating all mainstream pop in general is dumb

Peacock is a horrible song. Worse than Kesha's Dinosaur song.

Whew, Dinosaur is pretty bad iunno Peacock was terrible, but not THAT bad. Dinosaur was a new low for music in general.

Ugh... I hate this review. I basically wrote it because I was pissed about the album. It's not a true review, though, and it barely reflects my writing style.

Hmmm. I actually prefer pop music to metal. If you actually read my reviews (rather than just looking at the ratings), you would know that. But, there is a huge difference between good pop music (Rihanna, Janelle Monae, etc.) and bad pop music (Kesha, Katy Perry, etc.).

Metal's the same too, you know. Outside of Sputnik, almost everyone automatically hates any form of screamed music. There's good metal and there's shit metal, but a lot of people just don't give any of it a chance.

Metal's not one of my highpoints, but I'm definitely not the type of person who discredits an entire genre. In This Moment's new album is one of my favorite albums of the year, so far.

Well, I've really only heard all the singles (5 songs?) + Peacock. I didn't like any of the singles

except for the catchiness, and due to overexposure,(I figure it's the same everywhere, but LA area =

Hollywood = more pop jams?) that quickly wore off. And Peacock is an atrocity.

In all honesty, it's probably a 1.5 or possibly a 2.0, but the fact that I don't enjoy anything I've

heard keeps it at a 1.

I don't like California Girls either, mainly because the shallowness of it all pretty much is spot on with half the girls I know here. Maybe that was just a super fucking clever metaphor satirizing that culture, in which case this would be an instant 5/5 lol.

The only song I really didn't mind was "Teenage Dream," and nowadays I've been listening a lot more for personal lyrics. So the fact that she literally is living a teenage dream and writes a song about it (without self-parodying) just ticks me off.

I wonder which is worse off overall, your area in California or mine in South Florida. Id imagine both areas suck equally as hard.

Orange County, California. You better believe that it's as shallow as people think it is. Luckily, I'm in the Asian center of OC (Irvine), and they're a lot more down-to-Earth.

How bad is it in SoFla?
