I wanted to rate this lower than One of the Boys, but it's not offensively bad, just not good outside of the singles. It's not even the lyrics that are the problem (though they are tired), nor her singing (though it is unimaginative outside of the delicious "California Gurls" chorus), the music itself is just bland electropop.
"I will say this, the same thing I have told my pop loving best friend since I heard California girls. Holy shit could the chorus be any more..un fufilling? there is nothing about it that brings you in...Heartless."
