they definitely have meaning

just because they talk about things that actually exist and happen doesn't make them shallow

the insight of the lyrics in the context of the song is that everybody seems like they have their shit together but they're actually just as confused and flawed as you

if you needed any of that explaining you're a muppet

didn't need any of that explaining.. because like i said the lyrics have no depth

and "just because they talk about things that actually exist and happen doesn't make them shallow"

suicide, torture and anguish don't happen?

I'm not seeing it man, I think Frank Turner's lyrics are magnificent and are overflowing with insight. That one lyric you posted isn't particularly deep but not everyone can be pg. fucking 99 all the time. Sometimes simplicity is best.

This has a lot more hard hitting songs, but the new

one has a nice sense calm that I enjoy

I feel like the first two tracks are actually kinda weak. But the rest of the album makes up for them completely.

I don't know how you can't love the first 2 songs on this. I Knew Prufrock is a fantastic opener, and Reasons Not To Be An Idiot is so catchy, and it goes without saying that they're both sick live.

I think Prufrock is great, for an opener. But Reasons is probably my least favorite track. I don't what it is, I'm just not a big fan of it.

Actually, after listening to both of them again, I'd say reasons is the only weak track on the album. In my opinion at least.
