I think I enjoy AMOLAD more than this overall, it's just the last four tracks there that I feel are slightly long-winded. I know you've fanatically reviewed every Maiden album a few years back, I was wondering whether you were still fan enough to do this. I hear you, they're both pretty similar in that regard. AMOLAD was a lot easier to get into for me though. Also, I'm working on one right now actually

Some good, some boring here. Will probably take alot of listens to appreciate due to the sheer amount of epics. It doesn't touch AMOLAD though.

The material here is consistently great but it lacks that extra oomph that make albums like NotB and Powerslave classics. Great review, this is floating around a 3.5-4 atm.

great review, i hear this is one of their most adventurous/intricate albums so it will probably have elements that will impress me, but I'm sure the songwriting isn't anything up to par with their classic work. Excellent review Nag.
