fucking amazing album

pac had such an incredible influence across hip hop. the thing about him that really gets me is the emotion you can hear in his words. pac really meant the shit he said.

I take a shot of Hennessey now Im strong enough to face the madness/nickel bag full of cess weed laced with hash/phone call from my nigga on the other side/two child hood friends just died, I couldnt cry/A damn shame/when will we ever change/and what remains from a 12 gauge to the brain.

Fucking epic.

another great thing about pac was his ability to combine typical rap braggadocio (which he did very well) with an introspective side, when he admitted that he wasn't necessarily the person he raps about in his songs. he was man enough to have feelings.

same reason i revere z-ro so much.

It was off the Gang Related Motion Picture soundtrack, I think it got remixed with Phil Collins voice for In the Air Tonight on 2Pac Resurrection, but not sure. But yeah, it rules.

I gotta give illmitch some props for getting me to check out Z-Ro -- specifically that album. The song "Z-Ro" is just a straight banger.
