just kidding, just finished reading the review...

first impressions:

a tad long for comfort, but you explain yourself fairly well enough to justify the length
on the other hand, some of the detail (to me, at least) sounds a bit expendable
aka the more technical aspects of a single song, it works OK in context here, but definitely stray away from that in the future... that kind of really nit-picky technical details
if you're gonna talk THAT much about one song, make sure you choose the right song that represents the album as a whole, or try to find some way to relate it to the album as a whole
last paragraph is fantastic, especially for a 5 review
overall, the writing is superb... the content (if I'm gonna be tough on you, which I am) could use a little work in the future
definitely nothing to be embarrassed about though, the review is outstanding said and done, and I couldn't NOT pos it.... nice work!

Fank you Also, I focus on "American Love" so much because it DOES encapsulate the entire CD, and really Haste the Day's career with Jimmy Ryan as the frontman. I understand that one song doesn't make an album a 5, but that might help explain why I went through it so meticulously. But you're right, maybe a little more explanation is needed in the review. Thanks for your continued critique my friend! You're like the big brother who I show my work to and look at with pleading eyes, WILLING him to think it is good. But we're the same age so it's something like that. Yep.

(@American Love) I haven't heard any HTD, so if that's the case then that seems perfectly reasonable... but yes, I think a mention of it in the review would make that section a little stronger

Yeah you wouldn't like them. Basically one of the bands that got me into music, and one of the only one of those bands who I can say I still enjoy thoroughly (well, their old stuff).
