It happens just about every year. I walk into a music store and purchase an album that I am 99% sure I will passionately dislike. It is that small sliver of hope that compels me to repeat this mistake…long story short, goodbye $11, I'll miss you.

the mundane pace in Waking the Fallen's "Desecrate Through Reverence", the clumsy songwriting in City of Evil's "Betrayed"
Two of their most underrated songs in my opinion.

God Hates Us is something long time Avenged fans (read: fans who were there when the first album was released) have been waiting for them to do for the past 7 years. While the vocal performance fits the bill, the song is musically a let down. Definitely feels like an afterthought, like they threw the song together so the album can be billed as "metal".
Rest of the album is meh. Far better than their self-titled, but still worse than CoE, WTF, and STST.
