Godspeed is perfect to listen to while doing something else if you still pay attention. Listen to the build-ups and then lose yourself when the crescendos begin.



Edit: Slow Riot is also my favorite. I might 5 it someday.

Storm is out of this world.

This is a pretty sweet album but Godspeed on the whole doesn't really surpass a 4 for me.

This could be because my ipod/headphones broke months ago and I've been reduced to listening to everything on terrible computer speakers.

Side note though, I love in Pineapple Express where Seth Rogan is talking to his girlfriend and says "you're gonna go off to college and listen to Godspeed You Black Emperor" haha made me think of this site.

Good review. I rarely have the patience to listen to this whole thing. Its good, but really not my thing at the end of the day.
