this review isnt terrible but it can use some work. you shouldn't get so antsy about negs. they happen.
Props must be given to this Australia-based band for not following the generic ideals for post-hardcore set by mediocre bands of the genre like Attack Attack!
should avoid giving 'props.' also should avoid using Attack Attack as an example of post-hardcore (which they sort of are, but c'mon, there's really no point to namecheck them here... they're more shitty metalcore than shitty p-h anyway). maybe you could introduce them as australian in the intro and ditch this whole sentence.
for that matter, your intro is pretty rough...
What can be said about post-hardcore that hasn't been said before? There are many bands that cling to the genre that are made up of immature young adults that know nothing about the craft of music; This makes for many Sputnik album ratings of 2.5 or lower. Despite Bitchfork's unfair 2.5, rest assured that this band is most definitely something special in the genre; Mixing alternative roots with some hardcore and progressive aspects in a well executed manner from start to finish.
like gluey said, don't reference bitchfork's review unless you have something substantial (or nice) to say about it... calling it "unfair" doesn't count. Also, after a semi-colon = complete sentence + no capitalized letter. you managed to mess both of these things up. Also, saying things like 'what can be said about XXX that hasn't been said before?' is pretty lazy tbh.
I rather like most of your musical analysis, but you have a lot of grammatical problems. Nothing some editing wont fix!
