I kinda disagree — a lot of Neil’s stuff is pretty irritating. I just find it interesting how similar his really good stuff and really bad stuff actually is. A good Neil Young guitar solo is constructed from most of the same parts in mostly the same order as a bad one, but one is super enjoyable and one isn’t. I find that eminently fascinating — how can that be?!
