i also like the video that comes with the movie. it has sum 41 robbing a pizza store with a water gun, if u dont enjoy that u dont deserve to be fertile. also the movie has songs from all killer no filler which really go with the movie cause those songs are less mature than the ones on does this look infected.

Does anyone else get the impression of "randomness" towards the end of the ablum??? Its great and all, but ya cant listen to the last few songs as much as the 1st few
TO HUNTER555: "The Hell Song" is about HIV... some friend of the band got it, and they all took it bad
"Hyper-Insomnia-Para-Condroid" is about depression and gettin over it
And Still Waiting does have a solo, its more of a bridge, but its there! :DThis Message Edited On 05.30.06

Not saying much though.

I love this album, my favourite sum 41 album by far, nice review as well

Alright, I've probably read the word pop-punk at least 100 times now. Sum 41 has never once said they are pop punk. They are considered alternative&punk. FUCK. Get it right.

But they are pop punk. At the time of this release they were flooding the airwaves and much of the "pop" crowd was listening to them because their music was friendly enough. Just because Sum41 never said they labeled themselves as pop doesn't mean they didnt become that... it's something they can't control.

Oh and btw Hunter, unless you know what your talking about, you need to shut the hell up. If you look back on Green Day's earlier records, like on Slappy, half the songs on there have solos, and decent ones at that. If haven't listened to all of a band's albums, then you can't classify them as anything.
|
| |
Oh ok pop punk bands can't have solos. That makes sense.
Circle, stop being a dumbass. Solos and a band labeling themselves one thing does not mean it's not blatantly pop punk. This is pop punk. All the ingredients are there, including the pop influences. This certainly isn't just punk, and what part of it is even close to making this band alternative? This Message Edited On 04.08.07

I really dont see how Sum 41 is pop punk. they are really just regular punk with rock/metal influences. i think this is their best album though. chuck was kind of a disapointment

Sum 41's first 2 albums were more pop-punk. DTLI sounded a bit metal-influenced, and Chuck even more so. Their newest album is pop-punk again, though. (I personally think Chuck was fantastic, but I can understand why fans of Sum 41's original style don't like it).

^ Agree. Chuck is a legit pop punk album.
This is their next best IMO and its all downhill from here.

It sounds to me like Green Day kinda ripped off the "Thanks For Nothing" intro riff.

I feel like the only person who likes my direction more than the majority of sum 41s music.
