One of those rare instances where a band evolved and progressively improved over time with almost every release (not sure if I prefer Astrea to this or the debut). The earlier incarnation of their sound has definitely grown off me over time, but I remember the days of digging the shit out of Kasia et al.
Maybe I'll end up coming full circle one day.

I had just successfully completed my induction into the world of hardcore vox and after feeling very proud of myself (for finally digesting a few of the genres' household names, amongst others), I decided that Eva's banshee screams were indeed quite palatable - the fact they were being conjured up by a diminutive teen lass helped considerably tbh, because a) how?... that's so cool etc. and b) other less innocent reasons, probably. Combine that with the wackiness of the seemingly random, undigestible instrumentals and oh boy did we have a recipe for success here.
Looking back I imagine saying to myself 'this is fine' with that burning building meme going on in the background (I'm sure you know the one). Giving myself a great big pat on the back for being so super-incredible-amazing at music listening.
I bloody love cheesecake, you can never eat too much cheesecake.
