oh my god!! ayn rand! she is like soo thought provoking...
step out of your 12th grade english class and walk into the real world my good man. her texts do not correlate with anything you mention. remember, sputnik reviews are not meant to be standardized SAT test essays. nice attempt for the tie in regardless, at least youre reading something.
btw the fountainhead is a timeless classic, so good job anyway.

"but I simply cannot muster up the delusional grasp"- lol wut? Im still trying to figure out if this guy likes BTBAM... I think he's mocking Jordan and himself... this is really strange.

with pretentious words and confusing meanings which tend to distract you from the album itself. And maybe thats Colors too.
ChoirsoftheGuy is getting it.
You know, instead of the incredibly long and somewhat meaningless intro, you could have just said "this album has a lot of technical wankery," rather than try to epitomize the album's wankery in your own review.
Which is what I'm saying about the album. 90% of it has no purpose, and to actually illustrate this point in pure form, I thought this would be better than an "album sucks" (even though I do spit out a couple of traits about the music, but whatever ignore that).
And Michael, you get the influx of run-ons is relative to the album, si?

No it's not.

This album is decent, the good parts make up for the wankery a lot of the time.

it's silly that people are writing bad reviews then are saying BUT IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE BAD COS THE ALBUM'S BAD
You're getting the purpose of the sputnik parody, now: people take the website so seriously that they actually take jack offs like me as serious as let's say... Observer.

No, because as I said in the review, the good parts of the album account for like what, a decent 4 minute song?

no. see, I think that all this so-called parodying is a poor attempt of a cover-up of what is, at the end of the day, a bad review. you can't excuse that away, no matter what sort of spin you put on it. saying that it was on purpose does not excuse it (not bringing things like joke reviews into it).

Honestly, guys.
Much as there are a few stupid grammar errors and awkward sections to the review, it's actually pretty clever. Whoever this is wasn't writing a serious review that might be published in NME (terrible example whatever) but the way it's constructed is actually pretty cool. Also, clean it up a bit and re-format it and you have something similar in audacity to Pitchfork's Hindu Times review. Audacity and carefree, light-hearted criticism.
