Now it was changed. Before it was just the IV logo with the red lines that weren't there on the final cover.

I love coheed and cambria. After listining to them for about 2 years now, nothing else compares. I love the concept behind the albums, i love how they are making comics and eventually so i have heard a CG movie (think FF Advent children). I dont think the whole story/comic thing is a gimic. Its there if you want it but you dont have to get into it. They are putting comics and stuff out there so that people that are into the music and lyrics will be able to have a deeper experience

I totally agree. Im tired of people calling them a gimmick just because their "conceptual".

It isn't a gimmick by any means. It is simply a science fiction narrative in the context of music. However, it is absurd to call every band that puts out a concept project 'prog'. Telling a story doesn't make a band 'progressive rock'. That's what annoys me. They do have elements of prog, but they aren't entirely fitting into the genre. So far, their most 'prog' song is "Welcome Home".

I disagee about the most prog song. I feel it would be more along the lines of Backend Of Forever.

Welcome Home might possibly be the best song of 2005.

^^^

Yeah, you know it's a good song when a metal head like me says it's the best song of the year.

^People who haven't heard Welcome Home yet and see a guy who likes Iced Earth and Bleeding Through post that it's the best song of 2005 can only imagine.

It's truly an epic song. As is the rest of the album.

Welcome Home MAKES the album, and maybe now, to some people, it makes the band.

I heard welcome home and it was impressive
A CG movie is most likely not going to happen because the cost for that stuf is a motherload and they'll probably just release it on DVD with real actors and all that jive. OR they could juts put it on the sci/fi channel

Kripes, you are absolutely right. I trust that you were referring to me in your post, right? :thumb:

And yes, prior to Welcome Home I didn't like this band. So you can say that Welcome Home changed my entire perspective on this group. That's how good of a song it is.This Message Edited On 10.11.05
