They'll basically switch from a circus-y segment to a 3 second ambient blip to a 9 minute guitar solo.

love this.

I love it how haters love to promote themselves, just to be pretentious and different.

Pity on you haters, without our love you wouldn't have anything to say.

Why does it seem the only people who comment on Colors reviews are the ones who hate it?

'in the right light', that made me lol. Still this album is a tad overrated and TGM/TSC is better anyway.

It's funny how the fanboys can't take it when people get bored of bands for rehashing the same album but with more mediocrity each time.

not a good review bro, but you got the rating right. Don't listen to the haters, they are probably off listening to Thrice or some shit. But I hope your next review is better. Don't try to argue with the haters though, as you can see by the rating and the staff's view of this album, it's very well liked, especially in the outside world as well, so don't think you are alone.

oh and the only hater here I really respect here is Nagrarok, who has a great taste in music, and rasputin who has the site's best review, Pink Floyd's "Animals". But the rest of these fags like Michael Jordan are just morons, they don't like how BTBAM has more talent then they do.

Ya, I hate BTBAM because they're more talented than me.

Idiot, I was whoring BTBAM when their ST came out. I love their first 3 albums, and I still think they're awesome live. I just think the past two albums have nothing new to offer.

This album is not a classic.

"Just think the past two albums have nothing new to offer". Just the opposite. Their self-titled had been done before, by other bands, though they did have their own little color on it. "The Silent Circus" was much more original, it improved on their s/t, and today I consider it to be their second best album. We'll skip "Alaska" for a moment. Even if you don't like their newer sound on "TGM" and "Colors", it was more original than their first three. I always considered them to be a very unique band, and I've never heard any album like "Colors". However, I have heard albums like "Between the Buried and Me" and even "The Silent Circus". Not that those aren't great albums. What you MEAN to say is, you don't 'like' the Colors sound. Too complex, too long, too random, too stupid. Thats fine. You may think whatever you want, its your opinion, but their two most recent albums are their most unique, though their best album besides Colors is The Silent Circus.

I also see you've been here for two days and your already bashing Colors. I expect too see your 5 rating of Dillinger Escape Plan's "Calculating Infinity" any day now.

Sorry, but the first album is a continuation of Prayer For Cleansing material, and Prayer For Cleansing is one of the most influencial bands to that style of metalcore. Learn what you're talking about before you talk about it.

Also, hate to break it to you, but out of place country sections don't make an album that sounds like the album before it aside from such segments unique, just gimmicky.

I know what Prayer for Cleansing is/was, and you still fail to see that IT HAD BEEN DONE BEFORE. Whatever bro, waiting on your 5's of Brand New's "Devil and God" and maybe you'll 5 "In the Aeroplane..." from Neutral Milk Hotel. Bro, I know everything BTBAM was ever associated with. And yeah, of course all those genre breaks are not 'needed', but their fun, and show's that the band can handle the integration well. Again, hate it as much as you desire, it's your opinion.

"country sections don't make an album that sounds like the album before it aside from such segments unique"- even the strict metal aspect of Colors is very different from that of Alaska. Oh and hey it's Michael Jordan, weird how he's a music critic but what evs. Bring on the hate! Yeah! Fuck BTBAM! What? Accordions in metal that don't go with the song? I MUST GIVE THIS A 2! And Jordan, let's see your review, I'm looking forward to your view.
