I don't tend to look into a 20-something releases deep discography of a genre I can't stand.
Also, "ambient" is attached to a lot of things, so that doesn't really say much on its own.

I have already stated that I didn't look at his discography. I despise electronic music, so when I've heard AT songs, they were goofball blip bloop songs that I dislike. I came across an ambient track on YouTube and thought "wow, cool".
Additionally, ambient can mean a lot of things, including in lots of electronic genres, and not solely imply minimal ambient a la Stars of the Lid. This is really simple, I promise.
