One of their better albums but nowhere near as great as shout at the devil indeed some of this material is classic while some songs are somewhat weaker than others.

Shout At The Devil and Dr. Feelgood are a few flights of stairs above it though.

This is better than both, especially Dr. Feelgood which isn't close to being as good as this.

The choruses are all the same in structure, so while the riffs and drumming rule, it often feels repetitive. It's a good record, but nothing Motley Crue made can stand on par with other meal legends, not even their most revered material.

Maybe in hair metal, but hair metal sucks for the most part.

People love to deny the validity of hair metal because of it's image/lyrical content, but all those bands could fucking play. If

you think about where most of them came from (L.A.), and the fact the 80's was a decade of complete debauchery, well, that

explains the rest.

Honestly, this and Shout are barely hair metal albums.

you could include them as hard rock

Definitely. I would say this album is probably moreso a hard rock/punk album than (hair) metal. Shout... is more traditional metal than anything else, but some songs obviously have the sleaziness that would translate to hair metal.

Ehhh. It's a mix of hot women and people who are trying to relive the glory of 80's and looking so aged in the process
