Thought it was worth it as Crazy Town are heading back to the UK and it's going to be hilarious cos they have like one good song that nobody cares about and everyone else just hates them because Butterfly or is like "who?" so I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes and if they play any of their new stuff it's gonna be messy

Recently reunited that's why. Trying to cash in on the nu metal revival by releasing a generic rap song. http://youtu.be/TRqQc4Y1JHI

Dude, this is at the same level of hollywood undead. The only thing is that this band doesn't make songs for scene kids, lol. Still awful, they are at the bottom of the barrel

Maybe they are now, cos they know that's where the money's to be made if they can get their attention. I reckon if they'd actually learned to sing, kept a real band (let's face it the guitarists had SOME talent and were definitely the best things about the band cos they could occasionally throw out some hooks of their own that weren't written by RHCP, examples being Drowning and Decorated), and continued in this album's direction they could've ended up as good as Primer 55 (admittedly hardly flattering but Primer 55 were just substandard rather than complete shite until Bobby Burns tried to reinvent them a couple of years ago. NOW they're complete shite).

There was nothing good about that band and they were never good at all. They just ripped off RHCP
riffs and in this album they started to ripoff Linkin park songs and put in them shitty lyrics
composed by a monkey with null IQ. Drumming is deplorable, bass is non existent and dj am was a
mediocre dj. Band never had future and people just remember them because of 3 or 4 songs that are
soooooooooooooo bad. They make look that limp bizkit seems led zeppelin. And the cover of refused is a
joke. I can't rate this with a 1 just because whiny people here is going to say - troll ratings-,
troll ratings my ass.

Gotta say, I highly disagree with the general opinion on this band, I think they're criminally underrated and both albums are brilliant.
I'm surprised no one ever mentions the song "Candy Coated", that track is absolutely amazing! Sorry is also a sweet song, though a little short and could do with a bridge. I'd say the worst song here is Waste Of My Time, and even then that isn't a bad song really.

Take It To The Bridge actually has a decent overall message of don't try to imitate your idols and it's not the musicians' fault when people do stupid things or copy the dangerous things they see. But the tough guy posturing an shite lyrics kinda mess it up a bit. Otherwise it's one of the better lyrical subjects they've ever done cos it's not just angry white boy whining or posturing.

Hmm I posted that yesterday, just found this today: https://www.facebook.com/r1ckone/posts/10209310258729787

Shifty's back on the heroin and it caused Rick, Kevin Kapler, Bret and Nick Diiorio to leave the band. Elias Tannous remained in the band while Hasma Angeleno is now on bass and British session drummer Chris Barber (who's also played in Empires Fade) is filling in on tour. Sounds like Crazy Town is on its way back into oblivion again. Honestly wouldn't be surprised to here that Shifty's OD'd within the next couple of years.

I'm listening their slower songs and I think that they're pretty interesting. Digging change and black clouds a lot right now.

This band gets a really bad rap for whatever reason. I know they're mostly just chugged off as a one hit wonder, but their first two albums were actually pretty good. Yes, it was typical of musical landscape at the time and they didn't really break any new ground with their sound, but the material on those records were solid IMO. Although I do enjoy "The Gift of Game", "Darkhorse" is actually a better step in the right direction. For starters, the juvenile lyrics of the previous record are replaced with more serious and reflective subject matter. While the failed relationship topics can be tiresome, the tracks where they discuss their demons (substance abuse/addiction/suicide) is quite touching and introspective. Also, I really enjoy the more melodic approach they took with this album. Some of the harmonies displayed on these songs are beautiful and is welcome addition to the sound on this record.
