Probably the only drum and bass album i've really enjoyed. God... Shellshock what a monster of a tune.

Shaeiskl then you best check out Fear Monger by Chee and Skin Out by Signs. They bastardize DnB even better than this tbh

Bruh what FB is awesome on this. It's the stuff after this album that sucks imo

Dude bro man, Outer Edges is pretty dope tho. I mean, if Into Dust doesn't steal the air from your lungs idk what would. The whole album is diverse af too, plus the remix compilation for it is even better tbh.

Good enough album

Evo, by FB I was talking about Foreign Beggars. But now that you mention it, I don't like Noisia after this release either.

Oh my bad. Yeah FB drags down anything they end up on imo. Tbh I just generally hate it when rap overlaps with DnB.
|

Haha they were fun on this. Plus their earlier albums are decent UK hip-hop

Outer Edges is legit as hell

Album has a few decent songs on it. I enjoyed Shellshock just about as much as a lot of people did, but that's about it.

About as much as a kid pissing on a hundred acre forest fire, yea.
Most of these guys' material pales in comparison.

Pendulum are like the Muse of the electronic world if Muse stopped after Black Holes as they should have
quality fun shit that you could stick on at a party and everyone would be cool with with some obvious highlight tracks, but they're not really in the same league as an innovative trendsetting artist like radiohead, or in this case these guys

disagree
muse are underrated on this site, theyre not innovative yes but they fucking rule way harder than like foo fighters or any other accessible modern rock band ever did
pendulum are like... their best stuff thats actually legit is the mid 2000s another planet / voyager stuff, the albums after that are a mixed bag for the most part

I mean Muse haven't put out a decent song in nearly 15 years, in that time Foo Fighters have managed a whole album at least. Plenty of other 'accessible' rock bands have sprung up in just the last decade that have invalidated Muse, let alone before that.
And pendulum's discog is really pretty consistent, which is why each of their albums seem to be pretty equally liked among the fanbase. Personally I'm a bigger fan of In Silico, I thnik they nailed the anthemic vibe they try to go for there.

"I mean Muse haven't put out a decent song in nearly 15 years"
fully agreed, but origin of symmetry and absolution are at the very least hard hard 4s, for me i gave em 4.5 cuz fuck it. black holes is just a bit underneath that
"And pendulum's discog is really pretty consistent"
consistently middling yeah, other than proper old school dnb stuff

Proper old school dnb =/= better than what they put out after their debut. Since they wanted to experiment and go above and beyond just one scene and genre attached to it and make a name for themselves.

actually i might agree now lol
anyway this has some of noisia's best tracks but the album as a whole could be improved by trimming like 20-30% of it lol
