As per the list asked for:

Antestor

August Burns Red

Becoming the Archetype

Extol

Living Sacrifice

Mortification

Sacrificium

Sympathy

Indwelling

Frost Like Ashes

Crimson Moonlight

No Innocent Victim (technically Hardcore, but w/e)

The Showdown (first album)

Tourniquet

Underoath (old and new, except TOCS)

Believer

He Is Legend

Maylene and the Sons of Disaster

Oh, Sleeper (When I am God)

Once Nothing

Slechtvalk

The Soul's Unrest

Stryper (extremely cheesy)

That's all I can think of right now.

I enjoyed this, definitely understand the review though and you bring up a lot of valid points.

The album is hit or miss. The opening riff of Descending Upon Us is one of the best things DH has ever written. Too bad the song is lame after that. Overall, I'd say some tracks keep it above average (Just Breathe, Driving Nails, the Blood one, the beginning of Descending Upon Us). Great review, but DH will always be relavent for me. Got me into metal.

Emim, amen to He Is Legend! (No pun intended, either.)

Honestly, i haven't like anything these guys have done since Tryptich, but i'll give this a chance.

Technically they're not a Christian band, but most (if not all) the members are Christian. I Am Hollywood is one of my favorite albums.

I don't know why, but I always assumed Demon Hunter would've been a christian power metal band. Just something about the name I guess.

Demon Hunter would've been a christian power metal band

if you're looking for some, Thy Will Be Done is pretty decent.

Emim, out of that list, most of that is still pretty lol. I will give you credit for Believer, Antestor, Tourniquet, Extol (used to like them a bit), and Living Sacrifice. But I think my point is proven. At least you didn't put As I Lay Dying on that list.

Becoming the Archetype are so bad.

THIS is Crysis (intended towards piglet)

good review man. I actually haven't heard a single thing by these guys ever before, but I got the album late last night because I was mildly curious. I'll give it a spin after I'm done listening to some industrial metal.

I used to love these guys but I'm probably going to hate this now. Will give this a listen in a bit.

@Metalstyles- If you're interested to hear whatever promising material this band had, go with Summer Of Darkness or The Triptych. Don't bother with the rest.

@Jingle- You'll probably dislike this, I used to like The Triptych but it's steadily grown off.

I'll keep that in mind (especially Triptych, because I've seen some people drawling over that one here). I'll still prolly give this a few spins. You never know, maybe I'll like it haha.

You might, who knows, but I think you'll enjoy songs like "Not I" and "Undying" from The Triptych.
