Few hip hop albums are as unrelentingly grim, nihilistic, and dark as this one. I actually like this even more than Straight Outta Compton, you can hear Dre's evolution as a producer and it's a massive progression.

Straight Outta Compton is actually a woefully inconsistent album

It's kind of tough when 3 of your biggest songs lead off the album lol

it was definitely way ahead of its time. and its crazy because it came out in such a transition period for hip hop, and especially for the west coast. most albums around 91-92 sound suuuper dated but this one still sounds stellar for the most part. dre is such a crazy producer

kind of embarrassed how i was defending some of the extremely misogynistic lyrics on here lmao. thats what you get from a dumbass high school sophomore.

def dont like those lyrics anymore lol those songs are HEAVILY carried by the beats and their overall voices. also who told them it was a good idea to put all the sex songs in a row on here lmao. that 5-6 song stretch really deviates from the brilliance of the first 9 plus the last 3 tracks.

1. Prelude

2. Real Niggaz Don't Die

3. Niggaz4life

4. Protest

5. Appetite For Destruction

6. Don't Drink That Wine

7. Alwayz Into Somethin'

8. 100 Miles and Runnin'

9. Message to BA

10. Real Niggaz

11. Approach To Danger

12. 1-900-2-Compton

13. The Dayz of Wayback

Here's a shorter version of the album I've made without all those sex songs. Also threw in 100 Miles and Runnin and boom you've got a 40 minute near-perfect album.
