I can see preferring City, it's definitely distinct. This is much more "produced", much slicker sounding, and the songs are kind of more... intricate. City relies more on hooks and just pummeling you with tone. Which is also awesome.
But that's Devin for ya.

City has a pissed off, going crazy, spazzy in all directions vibe for me. This is more like direct, focused, absolute anger and heaviness. Not sure if that makes sense. Both 5's though, and best straight up metal band ever to me personally.
