Devin releases so much shit and the variety is crazy... from Strapping's stuff or things like Deconstruction, to Ocean Machine: Biomech, to Ghost or Casualties of Cool. He has some of the most high quality releases across a wide range of genres.

I don’t even know where to start with this, never has an album with such a high proportion of ‘what the fudge is this?’ sounded so ultimately satisfying. Great stuff.

This is definitely one of the better ‘older’ reviews I’ve had the pleasure of reading. Captured the essence of what this is about very competently.

everyone loves Colouring of Pigeons (hopefully… and for good reason) but that whole sequence including Tumult + Seeds is blissful.
nearly a year without a bump? (apparently when I first checked this one as well).

Colouring of Pigeons is the peak for me. That song is just perfect. I'm not a big fan of Seeds tho. It's a good song, I just think it's overshadowed by better tracks, like the aforementioned and title track, or alt voc Annie's Box

Wow, a response!
Epochs / Geology and the t/t are all excellent too. The album flows beautifully, requires a bit of patience to get into for some perhaps, but definitely worth it.
Nice to see a positive appraisal.

Haha your reaction is basically the same as mine any time someone responds in a Bowie thread.
And yeah I love this album. I remember playing it for the first time over a decade ago while smoking weed. Had it on with the lights out while it was raining outside, one of the best first plays I've ever had. I must have played Colouring of Pigeons 200 times over the last decade

Everyone responds in Bowie threads though, no? These guys are weirdly forgotten in post-Potsy Sput (I realise he’s still around sometimes).
When even Silent Shout doesn’t get bumped for 6 months you know something’s up! (couldn’t believe it).
Maybe this site really is dead, lol
