I feel, you, like me, hate the distortion wankery The Volta picked up here and have since kept up in their musical styling -- but you don't talk about it really

The last two minutes of the track, however, are insanely annoying, leaving me thinking “Why? Why would they do that to such a great track?" That said, the full "Miranda" is hands down the best track on the album.
you don't actually explain why -- as much as the outcome, but we, as readers, have no idea why those last 2 mins are annoying.
For the majority of the record, it’s the other way around. That is to say a mostly sub-par track will have traces of greatness. Examples include segments of both Cygnus…Vismund Cygnus and L'Via L'Viaquez. Ultimately these few great parts ( what parts? what are they?) are vastly overshadowed by the sheer volume of utter crap The Mars Volta chose to include on the album like all but the last two minutes of Cassandra Gemini( ok -- so what if I've never heard the record before? wtf is this?).
otherwise kudos for having balls and bashing this album -- it just feels like you should hate it more, or do, and are just not putting it forth.
