This is my least favourite of their albums. The self titled is next and The Silent Circus is my favourite. It's pretty much personal preference because they're all great.

I absolutely adore this band, because they are what I like to call a "genre-buster". A band that can't fall into one category and implements different influences into their work and makes them flow and gel together almost flawlessly. Your mood will follow the songs as they travel through these different genres. It's truly a music experience.

exactly. this band completely changed the way i look at music because of that.

this band is also one of my favorites. the music is very complex, the synth is great in the title track alaska. this cd is one i will buy even though i have it burnt

i agree, i was skeptical, but my fears were put to rest
i disagree with your recommend song choices though, except the primer
i was more a fan of
- Alaska
- Croakies And Boatshoes
- All Bodies
but the whole album is good so who cares :D

I find Croakies and Boatshoes to be the most bland song on this album...
|
| |
Yeah I thought the same thing. All Bodies is so good though,

Agreed, especially the after the part "left to dieeee..." then, the guitar play some fast notes (sweep picking?) and the bass lines is just awesome...

from previous comments before.. there are no such thing as an "emo part" in Between the Buried and Me.. emo songs are such like Hawthorn Heights and Atreyu but emo songs suck hardcore

I believe laser speed to be better than most all of clapton's material. Agreed, amazing album.

I would hardly call Hawthorne Heights music.
I heard this in one of my friends cars, and the last minute or two of some song had the best, most melodic ending I have ever heard. It was mindblowing, this is on my list to pick up the next time im album shopping.

That sounds like it would have been "Selkies".

this is the only band i really dislike on victory records and i just think it's b/c of the vocals and not the music
a lot of months later.....
i hate the popcore of victory and love btbam....

Selkies soothed me with beauty, and then the title track and The Primer ripped my face off.
God I love this album.

This album is superb; it just has to be said again. Its funny how Victory Records seem to able to sign only two good acts, with BtBAM being one of them and Darkest Hour the other. How I would love to see this band live.
