I can play Selkies. It was a great day when I realized that. It is also the easiest song on the album.

Okay, so I listened to this in full a couple of times at a friend's.

It's okay.

I wish the whole album was similar to Selkies. Then it would rawk.

But as it is now, it's no more than decent.

I'm trying to learn Selkies right now. If I succeed, it will be the most difficult song I would be able to play o.O
What do you mean that Selkies is sterile? I found it to be the most dynamic song on the entire album. It's been months since my comment and I still play the song all the time.

The band members look like theyre in their mid twenties. I think it was 2000, 2001 that they first arrived in the music scene.

This album is a lot harder to get into than the last, but it's proving to be more rewarding. Tommy's scream is still weak, though.

I gather that they're all around early-mid twenties. Regardless, they can fuckin' play.

The fact that they don't look like they'd even play this type of music makes me love them that much more.

Has anyone else noticed that Backwards Marathon seems to sound different production-wise than the rest of the album?

Yikes. These guys are so talented it scared me what they would be doing if they were a pop band. You wouldn't be able to step outside and not have someone be talking about them.

Thankfully, they haven't been taken under by the stink that is Victory Records.

Just another brilliant album, by a bunch of ridiculously skilled kids.

But why in the fuck is it called "Alaska"?
