Even though I prefer Colors as an album... this is prob my favorite BTBAM album from a sound perspective. Like it has its prog moments but it’s so punishingly heavy still. Guitar tone fucking rules here too.

Never quite got into Parallax II, a lot of mindless wankery on that one.



That's the problem I've always had with this band, they seem to forget how to write actual songs sometimes and just devolve into mindless, frantic songwriting.



When they pull it together their music is genuinely brilliant, though.
