I know I'm coming from a different spot than a lot of you - I still love extreme music and truly - my taste in music and movies has not changed since I was 15... That being said, if I had heard the black album first, or god forbid, if Load was my first exposure, I'm sure I would have a very different point of view.

convenient 3-4 minute running time for each song
a bunch of early Metallica songs had 4 minute running times. This album just makes it so even those song lenghts feel extended.
I hate this album because its so terribly long, boring, and repetitive.
