Album is pretty good but so bloody melodramatic.
I agree that it's melodramatic, but it doesn't really deter me.
I believe the song you are thinking of where it sounds like the guy is getting killed is Somber Fall, Burdened Winter.

Wiz-man - I'm not exactly hyping this, but my rating speaks for itself just how much I love this. This beats out The Latter Rain easily, and I loved The Latter Rain. And I'm sure you'd dig this, it's awesome melo-prog
bodom - I agree, the solo parts in Wayakin are great and I think it's a pretty great song. Even the spoken word parts don't really bother me, only the chorus is really cheesy

no seriously though, care to expand why you dislike the production? The only thing one could possibly be unsatisfied with imo is it being too clean, but, that's exactly what this album needs - clear production.

I can't really explain it too well since my English vocabulary is limited but to me it sounds a bit overly bombastic, in a way it drowns out the music itself.
But like I said before, could very well be my speakers. Will check it later on my Sennheiser headphones
