I love me some Ukrainian Black Metal, but i just can't bring myself to listen to these guys. They are much too outspoken in their support for racial hatred, and i can't listen to music that openly advocates that shit.
I feel i'm missing out on some good music, but that's what happens when you interject too much politics into your art.

There are plenty of bands that are way more racist than Nokturnal Mortum. They're really not that bad and yes you're missing out on some amazing black metal if you pass this up.

Well, i just looked this up out of curiosity, and the song Ukraine is a fucking eargasm. I'll probably end up downloading this, but they still need to fuck off with the racist ideology. Their lyrics aren't that bad, but the members themselves are stupid.
When is it going to occur to these guys that Slavic people supporting Nazism is the most hypocritical political stance since Republicanism?

It is extremely comical. As is NS Norwegian black metal, since the Germans ended up bothering Norway during WW II. It makes no logical fucking sense.

Dude Nokturnal Mortum only had NS or racist lyrics on NeChrist, there is nothing of the sort on this album. Their lyrics are about Slavonic paganism.

I'll let them have their stupid ideas or whatever. I just don't ever want to be associated with that kind of ideology. This is quite good music though, i will give them that much. Kind of sucks when assholes are good at what they do, amirite?

Kind of sad i've been missing out on this for so long though, because i've known of these guys existence for quite some time, and it keeps up to the standard of most of the Ukrainian bands i've heard.
