I'd say Ignite is more hardcore with some punk influences thrown in, but there's no need to debate genres. The only reason that user (forget who) said 'not Metalcore right' is because that's the proper definition of the word.

a 5? This is offspring were talking about, right? nothing they do is a 'classic.'
btw, there is absolutely no punk or hardcore aspect to this band. It was alternative from "jennifer..." to smash to ignition and it hasn't strayed too far away with the terrible new stuff. This is alternative at best. Not once have I ever connected this with my metal and punk roots. You people are ridiculous. Why is the word metalcore even mentioned in the comments? This would be like saying third eye blind is the origins of indie rock... I thought user's here had some credibility... But then again, what do I know?
