havent touched their discog in a good 5 years but goddamn has it held up magnificently. having a reawakening of sorts to this and the two records before it and all 3 are incredible. think this is my favorite (bc how could the record w sæglópur not be) but given its a bit more accessible than the others that might change w more spins as the other two are really lovely as well

Valtari is the only one that gets a bit samey, but in a good way imo. ( ) just has a really consistent atmosphere and develops sloooowwwlly, but in the best way.

( ) is amazing, I'd just understand that perspective. I see Valtari as more of an ambient piece, it does work for me, but again I'd understand why someone would consider the 'samey-ness' off-putting.

This has grown a lot on me during the last years. It's close to a 5 now and I prefer it over Agaetis Byrjun. ( ) > Takk > Agaetis; the Holy Trinity of Sigur Rós.
