^thanks for the make-up bro, appreciate it. Yea, I finally got around to reviewing something -- although i didn't realize the kingsoby (staff) had planned on reviewing it (oops!); although since I had to add Felt to the site before I did the review I figured nobody was going to do it..
It's a good hip hop disc -- especially the production/beats. But there's definitely better hip hop that came out this year, namely Sole and the Skyrider Band, Sol.Illaquists of Sound and P.O.S. I would say this is about on par with the The Ecstatic by Mos Def for me (although Mos Def is way better lyrically).

he definitely should've. He's only on the chorus of the second to last song! I have a theory about Aesop rapping on tracks with other emcees: if someone raps on a track with Aesop, they have some subconscious desire to rap LIKE him. Case in point is Murs' verse on that song -- he tries to sound JUST like Aesop: "all they do is criticize us..." Also, Slug is repeat offender of this theory on every track he's ever done with Aesop (I'm reminded of that track on Float -- "as long as I know right from wrong I'll be ok I'll sing my song")
