That unfortunately didn't do much for me, they developed their sound so much on Tales that to me Are You Shpongled sounds like a prototype in comparison, just a testing ground for ideas. I'll take their Psybient stuff over the Psytrance stuff any day.

Got the CD of this for Christmas, the notes they have in the booklet telling how they made the songs are so cool. Pretty much confirms some of the thoughts and feeling I have about this album.

@ Space's point up top I totally agree. listening to one or two songs and getting the audio/visual experience is cool af but it gets pretty unsettling and overwhelming after a bit. when stoned its way more manageable but still has that psych vibe. when I'm actually tripping I prefer lush sounding music with relatively good vibes.

I never tried psychedelics before but I imagine doing this album on them would be the most terrifying of the 5. Find this to be their darkest outing.

Honestly this album was my favorite of them all when I spun their discog on a two tab trip. It was a weird day all in all but this one stood out the most to me. Then again I also really like listening to Deathspell Omega when Im trippin too so maybe my opinion isnt one to rely on lol
