The start of Floating Through the Vein is such Suffocation worship, I love it. Good to see these dudes are back on the right track

Hour of Rats is probably their best song IMHO. The dynamics over the course of the song are just beautiful

I think Floating through the vein is my favorite. I love when Guy yells "Why won't the nightmares end?" overall fucking amazing album.

Isn't this band labeled Deathcore? I heard nothing but bad things about them on other websites except for the fact that as far as deathcore goes they're good for that genre. Idk...I'll check it out I guess.

Excellent review, I'm gonna go listen to this right after class.
I wish I could pos it.
Who else thinks we should be able to pos or neg staff reviews? Cause to be honest, there are some staff reviews which are
just not that great.

I assume the lack of staff approval ratings keeps controversial - but well written - reviews from getting negged to hell by angry music fans. There's nothing more offputting than than seeing "13 out of 43 users thought this review was well-written" at the top of a professional review.

Just cause some of the writers are listed as STAFF REVIEWERS on sputnik doesn't mean they're professional. But I guess users bitching about the review in the comments section is about the same thing as a pos/neg.

They were playing "deathcore" before anyone actually knew what it was. They're a much more literal blend, and even then their 'core' side has more or less vanished over the years. And I dont know what you're talking about, they're generally extremely well received. Go to better websites, I guess.

album is pretty good. Nice to hear solos on a Red Chord album. The song structure and riffing are catchy as well.

Wikipedia says that Staff and Emeritus reviews are "acknowledged as professional content" or whatever. But that's Wikipedia.

Metacritic recognizes staff reviews as well.
Anyway, solid album. No better or worse than anything else they've put out.

Havent got this album yet, but gave Demoralizer a listen on youtube, and it was fucking intense. Is the rest of the album really worth getting?

Yeah. Demoralizer is one of the weaker songs.

The awkward melody in 'Hour Of Rats' gets my heart going. Album is amazing.
