Okay, I feel better warranted 3 listens from me after my first.
that's always a good sign.

great review, got me excited to listen to it so i pulled it up right away, ive gone through the album once, about to go for another listen. Although this is far from what i expected with this album, it is exactly what i have begun to expect from AFI. I can't think of a band that changes like they do

Its better than Decemberunderground but that isn't saying much and I'm unlikely to listen to any more AFI until the next one down the line and so on and so forth

Medicate was alright, but I doubt I'll ever listen to this. Havok annoys the piss out of me.

I'm barely even half way and I'm already bored, save for the first two tracks. Hope this is backloaded

Meh. Not bad but doesn't touch Sing The Sorrow IMO. And what's with that little yelp in the beginning of every song? Knock that shit off, Davey.

Is this anything like December Underground? Because if it is, then no thanks. I liked Sing the Sorrow though.

"Knock that shit off, Davey."
What? It wasn't me, I didn't do it!

I get a kick out of Davey's yelp no matter how many times I hear it.

i like how hunter's bass is clearly audible here. you could barely hear it on most of the past records
|

sounded terrible on my first listen. I don't even feel compelled to buy it and I loved Sing The Sorrow/Art of Drowning...
Decemberunderground had at least a handful of good songs thrown in. This doesn't seem to have the same vibe with intelligent lyrics, or interesting song structures, it just sounds like a crappy big rock band like green day or something. dumbed down lyrics and repetitive songs.
