Can definitely imagine this polarising people when it came out

Homogenic did it first. This is just British people pretending they invented the tea all over again.

New Like Spinning Plates take is sweet. The rest of the previously unreleased material is rather disappointing, though.

I enjoyed the first half most, with that new Spinning Plates likely going to be my preferred version of the song going forward. Also nice to hear those two previously unreleased songs as studio versions, Say the Word and Follow Me. The rest is basically little instrumental themes remixed and leading into each other, and that parts not essential, but still a pleasant listen.

Mashing up Pulk and True Love Waits was definitely something I wasn't expecting and works a lot better than I thought it would.

Yeah it makes true love waits actually enjoyable to listen to

True Love Waits is just about how Thom sings it and that’s it really
Probably one of his most intimate and gut wrenching toons
Guess I’m just at that stage (middle age) where you see friends relationships live or die on people’s ‘big choices’ - requires a lot of honesty

Yeah I don't really get the appeal of the reissue. It's just re-listening to Kid A and Amnesiac with some rough scraps tacked on to the end, am I missing something? A lot of people are raving about it.

Never "got" this band tbh

They have 4 albums that I'd deem to be classics or almost classics (OK Computer, Kid A, In Rainbows, AMSP), but beyond that the band is largely hit or miss for me. I guess that comes with the territory when you're an experimental rock band.

Sow.
The reissue is the complete package with Follow Me Around on it plus some compositions which give an indication into how the whole Kid A era was composed and structured by the band.
It’s quality.

All their material from OKC onwards is different levels of amazing, but those 4 you mentioned are their best Sowing.
The first two discs are just Kid A and Amnesiac so I think it’s just meant to signify that the new one is coming from both, since they were recorded in the same sessions.
I really liked the first half of the 3rd disc, and the second half is just a nice collection of ambient electronic extras and remixes that flow nicely into each other.
