LITSOS is more accessible than DTGL, I thought it would be appropriate.

No, Alaska is heavier than Colors and much less melodic.

just adding to what caleb said. I think Alaska is a lot easier to get into than Colors. Alaska has all of its OMG that was amazing moments spread throughout the album and those moments on Colors are all crammed into the second half.

Yeah but Colors is so over the top...but either way he should be fine.

Colors is overrated. And to add to the blasphemy pile I've got going, They're Only Chasing Safety is my favorite Underoath album. Yep, I totally just said that.

and idk, that's pretty debatable about Underoath...i think DTGL is definitely the more accesible of the two.

A. Thomas: yeah it isn't as good as Alaska, but it's better to start with. especially in Strikey's case.

Colors is more melodic yes, but Alaska is more accessible to non-metal heads. It's heavier, yes, but its more structured (as structured as BTBAM can be) and simpler.

I'm just saying that when I heard Colors, it was the heaviest thing I could stomach listening to. Alaska is heavier and less melodic, which made it much harder for me to get into. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same for Knott.

Shoulda went with TOCS for Underoath. That was my first "metal" cd

That's what he started himself on for Underoath.

Well, that's odd. BTBAM got me into progressive/metal completely, not just into BTBAM so I think it's a bit of a different scenario. Unless TCS got you into metal...

Alaska was actually the cd that got me into BTBAM as well as prog metal as a genre. but for a softer music lover like A. Knott, Colors would be a better start.

weird review, you make it sound like a really good album, yet still give it a reasonably low rating...........

or do you just really hate metalcore or something?
