I am liking this CD. Born, Final Product, and Medicated Nation are awesome.

The lyrics on this album, along with Dane's vocals, can get annoying at times. The guitar work is ace as usual. Not my favorite NM, but its probably two or three, behind Dead Heart... and maybe DNB.

As I'm just getting into this group, what would be a couple of albums to get me started off? Or their albums listed in order from best to worst?

Amazing album. It has a couple of "off" songs, but the rest of the songs definitely make up for it. This Godless endeavor is one of the greatest songs I've ever heard.

I can safely say that this is one of the best American Metal albums I have heard in a very long time. Jeff Loomis and Steve Smyth are two supremely competent guitarists; I can't believe that this band have not got much exposure considering the quality presented on all of their albums.

Sometimes I think metal bass should get more exposure

Heh, it's ironic how this is the album that got me into Nevermore (I always buy a band's latest album when I get an interest in them). I now own every Nevermore and Sanctuary album, and I have to say, this is definately not their best. I've listened to it seven times and now I'm starting to get sick of it, so I gave it the most forgiving rating I could. The playing is great, but musically this album really falters and the lyrics can be down-right embarassing at points. This Message Edited On 10.07.06

This is some good stuff. Vocals are amazing, as are the instrumental parts of it.

"My Acid Words" might be one of the best songs I've ever heard. End of story.

I have always had a hard time getting into Nevermore, but after hearing this album a few times, I'm slowly coming around.
Might have to go back and listen to Politics and Dead Heart again.

My first Nevermore album. The title track blows me away.

This is the only album i have by Nevermore... and so far i like it a lot. The vocals are a tid bit odd... but instrumentally, they are pretty sweet. I downloaded this cd along with the new Six Feet Under cd... and can say that i definitely preferred this one to the SFU. anyways, cool album.
