Wow. I've only heard 6 of their albums & so far it's fighting out with RIIITITITITITITITTITITITITIR for the wooden spoon, although I need to revisit that one as well.
Opinions.

I love that album but it doesn’t come close to this or axioma

Weird. I can understand someone preferring Vikingligr to Axioma & visa versa because of the difference in style & it's probably just a matter of personal preference. What I don't understand is THIS being better than Axioma, or it being close to the same level.

Songwriting and production are amazing

I think this (at times) sounds clumsy & half-baked, like a bunch of decent ideas not yet fully realised. Axioma is basically this done right

I think axioma is this executed better but lacking the character this has

Mind blown, there are more of you...
I guess the difference for me is that I don't see this as having character, old school Enslaved has character & in fact I prefer the 'feel' of both Isa & Axioma as well.
I'm interested to see what I make of the albums I've not heard yet.

Admittedly my opinion on that album as a whole is still pending because I've only heard it once.

Fuck yeah.
This album remind me of like a blackened version of Pink Floyd. It’s just perfection.

they have a very nice style that isn't overly complex but just really enticing. they're kind of for black metal what Opeth is for death metal in a way.
