one of my favorite records ever

hadean sounds like some kind of space-meshuggah. in fact, i would give the first half a 4/5 and the second a 6/5. proterozoic contains some of the best music i have ever heard in my life. and by 'best' i mean actually better than jane doe and other albums i have given a 5/5.

this is definitley post-metal, specially the second disc.

first disc is like sludgy metalcore idk

overrated album

my favorite is probably rhyacian. closely followed by calymmian and ectasian. (tonian was the track that got me into this album, though)

So I just got my hands on this and the first disc was just some pretty solid heavy whatever you want to call it. Real good but nothing incredible.



But I just got done listening to Rhyacian and holy shit...that's really all I can think of. It's just wow.

Don't get me wrong I enjoyed it, but I guess I was expecting the second disc through the whole thing and the first one just caught me off guard.



It was my first listen though so I'm betting it grows on me quite a bit.
