This album is phenomenal. Every song over two minutes brings something unique to the table. It certainly isn't Neurosis's most focused album, but it's hard to hold that against it when the songs are this quality.



To anyone that loves this album, I'd say it is essential to listen to the albums that surround it in Neurosis's discog: Enemy of the Sun, Through Silver in Blood, and Times of Grace at a minimum, and The Word as Law as well. Of course, I'd say that all Neurosis is essential listening, but those albums in particular have increased my appreciation for Souls at Zero.

Yeah that one too, think I mentioned this before but the triumvirate of Chronology through to Takahnese is my favourite part of the album & a god-tier run in general.
