At the moment i'm really struggling to get into this album!!! Will give it a few more listens before I rate it though. Anyone else having the same problem?

I don't know dude, this is pretty standard heavy metal. Easy enough to get into unless you're new to the genre (which is cool because these guys are a great start : ))

Well i think that 'in defiance of existence' is great and 'vermin' even better so hopefully with time i'll really like this too!

Finally listened to this and it's pretty good, might even raise my rating after a few more listens.

Album is slowly growing on me. Just notched it up from a 2 to a 2.5!

I like Vermin but I thought they refined everything that was on that album with this one.

Never really gave this band a proper listen but the few songs I've heard I wasn't terribly impressed with.

I don't know if this would be your thing. I like the thrashy riffs that they mix with the black metal sound, and the deeper growls -- and the fact that the keyboards don't drown everything out.

Well thrash mixed with black metal is one of my favorite styles, but I really dislike keyboards soooooo

Well, like I said, the keyboards are barely there.

Just make sure it's this album, I can't say that the other ones are all that good.

Well... with Old Man's Child you can at least expect quality, unlike with Dimmu Borgir. Right now I think that Galder is one sly motherfucker - he's with Dimmu for the money, while he keeps OMC alive to make music like it should be

Riff-wise I think Defiance still blows this one away, but I wasn't disappointed with this one - kind of just got what I expected this time from them.

many superb tracks in this album.

This album is kinda bland and uninteresting in hindsight... the only ones that are really awesome are The Pagan Prosperity, In Defiance and Vermin.
