It's odd that the album sort of picks up towards the end.

Great disc...when the keys come in on the breakdown in the first song, the tone is set for the whole album.

Well, after one listen, this is Isis weakest album to date. However, it still kicks most post-metal bands out of the water........well, not Neurosis.

Both Cult Of Luna and Neurosis' last albums were better.

Eternal Kingdom doesn't touch this with a 100ft pole.

The peaks and valleys in that tune are unreal.

Ive tried really hard to get into Eternal Kingdom but something about how its mixed just turns me off of it... They just seem to be going downhill since Salvation

but back on topic its blasphemy to compare either of those albums to Wavering Radiant... I felt the same way at first, definitely thought this wasnt on par with the rest of the ISIS discography but like all their cds this does not stop growing on me

Interesting listen; not for me. But I can see why people like it.

this is probably the most attention-demanding albums ive ever listened to... thats the only way to really appreciate them, and I guess its also why it takes people a while (including myself) to get into their cds. i literally have to concentrate on listening to their music cuz its so hard to pick up on everything theyre doing

btw no one has mentioned 20 mins / 40 years... probably my favorite on here...other than threshold

Aha! That is most likely my problem. I always try and introduce myself to an album while doing school work or other brain-intensive activities; I haven't given this album a "focused" listening yet.

I guess I will!

Still just alright so far.

It's good but not that good. Seems like the energy is gone.
