American Idiot - Green Day is hands down my favourite album ever, and I always hear people say 'oh that is so mainstream! the songs are always on the radio!' i makes me mad! lol

You're everywhere in multiple forms Kane.
Ross, you have no idea mate. At one stage it was on a station that was obviously allergic to guitars. I couldn't stand it. I'd rather make my own music in my head. For example, you could hum "I can't wait, I can't wait" to yourself.
Green Day has hijacked my Kisschasy review. Those ba$tards!

well Davey, you know who to blame for the fact that Green Day has hijacked your review!

Tre Cool. Haha.

pos'd.
they threatened to bring Australian pop-punk to mainstream audiences with the aptly titled lead single ‘Do-Do’s & Whoa-Oh’s’. Holy fuck, they didn't.

Thanks Trey.
LOL. Yep, it was bikie gang like standover tactics with that threat. Except it didn't seem quite as dangerous coming from a group called Kisschasy, as it would have had it been the Hell's Angels.

Oh yay! Now everyone hates me for enjoying Green Day. Ah Well.

More input from James.
Coolies..
Mainstream has killed Coldplay for me.

Ever since I heard yellow all those years ago, I realised coldplay didn't do much for me. I can't say i've heard every single song though.

Yeah, well when you listen to Coldplay you just have to assume that it will be slaughtered on radio. This Message Edited On 04.21.09

Now now Croc. I don't hate you... YET! Stick to your guns bud.
What's Coldplay got to do with Kisschasy? Oh no, it's the radio debate again, isn't it? I'm gonna get angry & throw a radio at someone in a minute. I knew they'd come in useful for something.

I told you... Mutiple haha
Dont worry the iPod dock is very handy.

Oh yay! Now everyone hates me for enjoying Green Day. Ah Well.
Pretty sure everyone hated you before that.

iPods are evil James. As the website suggests, anythingbutiPod.com
Hey DavID, you love Croc, just because you feel that now there is someone more hated than you.

Davey review a The Church album. You know..the 80s aussie band? DO IT!
|
| |
I'm a sucker for Australian music atm, so I might end up checking this out. Not a top priority, though.
I thought the review was going to be too long when I first started reading, but needless to say it wasn't :P yet another great review... when's the staff app coming?

If you into Aussie band's at the moment, here are some more(I don't know what you have already or what you listen to so this is a generalised list): Karnivool, The Butterfly Effect, Augie March, Powderfinger, The Amity Affliction, House Vs Hurricane, Blue King Brown, The Cat Empire, Cog, Crowded House, Grinspoon, Silverchair, Tripod (lols), The Whitlams..
Some of these bands I really listen to much or enjoy, but who knows..
|

House VS Hurricane are shit.
The Forest are where it's at for Australian independent hardcore.
Don't patronise the dude by giving him an epic generic list of bands. Good Australian bands right now? Young and Restless, The Middle East, The Fumes, Cloud Control, Silverback, Children Collide, Violent Soho, Eleventh He Reaches London, Like...Alaska, A Death in the Family, Dead Letter Circus, Die! Die! Die! (honorary Australians, as they're located here), The Drones, An Horse, Saltwater Band, Brendan Maclean, Subaudible Hum, Bluejuice, Phrase and theredsunband.
