It wasn't THAT bad...

Chimaira is actually pretty ok (haven't heard this though), but the singer, Hunter or whatever he is, is pretty bad. I would enjoy this band a lot more if they would take another singer. Anyway i still need to get this, maybe I'll be surprised, who knows.

Hunter's vocals are pretty good, he has a unique mix of a tortured yell and a raspy scream, although on The Infection he wasn't as good as on previous albums. The thing is the song I think he did the best in wasn't even with Chimaira, it was the song The Enemy off of the Roadrunner United CD, he was perfect on that song.

Hunter is a great vocalist and frontman.

idk about frontman, but as a vocalist in Chimaira he sucks

Agreed with the first, dunno about the second. I'm definitely liking this, sitting at more like a 3.5 right now. Need to listen to it more though.

The Infection>Pass Out Of Existence
Exactly. "Dead Inside" was pretty cool imo.

i dunno guys, after Chimaira and Resurrection you really don't think this was a step backwards?

Yeah, it was a bit of a step backwards. I think I might've said this to you before Bloc, I was initially pissed off with this album when I first heard it.
Resurrection is an awesome album imo, and this is almost the complete opposite of it. But once that wore off and I spinned it a few more times it really grew on me.

The mid tempo of this album compared to Resurrection still annoys me somewhat though

one man's poison i suppose.
my major issue with this album is the noticeable absence of Spicuzza. i felt as if the electronics were missing from the music, it was just all guitars in the mix.
