No my brother doesn't even know what black metal means. He is scared of any metal that isnt metalcore/deathcore because its too dark and sadistic for him, for what he says. He's such a pussy he isn't a true Dryden.
The guy who said this was someone named Garry. I almost had a band with him, thank god i found out what a moron he was before we actually did make a band, that would have went down super bad.

I never really understood the hype for them, and have never really loved any of their records (although each one has a few enjoyable songs). I also have no idea why I rated this a 3...

I've never understood why the self-titled one was received so poorly and was considered a flop, the songs on it were consistently solid

I think it's their one of their best records, if not THE best. I just don't listen to it ever really (maybe a song here or there), but if I'm gonna put on a Chimaira song it's because I want something mindlessly heavy and I play Pure Hatred, Power Trip, Down Again or something off Impossibility. But yeah, s/t is their most well-composed and written metal album.
also, I think it's generally considered their best here on Sputnik, it has the highest average rating (3.8 which is pretty damn respectable on this site).
